A group of young people from Ystrad Meurig Youth Club created their own video interpretation that compared the rural history of Ystrad Meurig with the industrial history of the Black Country. The group interviewed several people to uncover the hidden histories of both areas. The young people took a trip back to the 1930s at the Black Country Living Museum where they lived the life of Black Country people for a day; they took a ride on a canal boat, worked down the coal mine, and experienced first hand the unforgiving discipline of an old fashioned school life.
