Mosaic Artwork by Tonypandy Community College
Young people from Tonypandy Community College spent 6 months on the design and fabrication of a mosaic mural for the exterior of their school building.
In researching imagery for the project, the students discussed issues of heritage and culture and developed icons to represent their findings. These surround the central image of the school and refer to the industrial past of the Rhondda, and look to the future of tourism and ecology.
