'Cruelty'

New Tredegar Youth Sub-group

The six elite young women who form the Youth Sub-Group in the former mining town of New Tredegar visited Big Pit in an effort to find out how many of their ancestors used to live. They uncovered all sorts of things that made them angry. Cruelty to animals, to children, to miners, and to women; it was all there. They realised how good it was to be alive now, in a much safer, more secure world. Putting together still images and scripts they wrote and recorded in their own voices, they made digital stories to record their discoveries.
