New Deal
At the Museum of Welsh Life at St Fagans, four young people from the New Deal Group in Blackwood listened, took photos and shared their experiences in a story circle. And they started dreaming….Carla dreamed of being able to wear the beautiful clothes she had seen in the costume gallery. Peter dreamed of driving…not just an old tractor, like those he had seen in the Museum, but of driving his hero car, Kitt. Sean imagined managing his own rugby dream team, leading it to victory and good works; while David longed to see his dream team, Manchester United, play football.
So they turned their dreams into films... digital stories.
New Deal is a Government programme that aims to give unemployed people the help and support they need to get into work.
