St. Martin’s Comprehensive School
Digital story tellers from St. Martin's Comprehensive School, Caerphilly went to The Big Pit, marginally sceptical that anything would truly grab their interest. In the story circle afterwards, they enthusiastically described their overall impressions... "Hard working", "noisy", "friendly", "lonely"... As they talked, they all realised that aspects of Pit life really echoed with things that happened in their own lives. Each participant developed their own script and used digital software and audio recording equipment to bring these characters to life in a series of unique digital stories, covering themes like teamwork, friendship, accidents, dreaming and loneliness.
