A small group of young people from the Dim Prob community volunteers group, designed and created a superb mosaic that commemorates the siege of Aberystwyth Castle during the British Civil War. The mosaic formed part of a larger project to re-interpret the rich heritage of Aberystwyth Castle, run by Ceredigion Museum. The excellent quality of the young people’s work was recognised with an award presented to Ceredigion Museum at the 2006 Interpret Britain and Ireland Award by the Association for Heritage Interpretation, for “Real efforts... in involving a wide range of groups”. The work is on permanent display at Aberystwyth Castle.
